Articles

Over the years I have written a numerous articles for Lace, the magazine of the Lace Guild. I checked recently and found that the first one appeared in July 1988. This was a report on a Lace Guild Bedfordshire lace course which I’d attended at Beamish Hall in Co Durham. As I’d received an Ann Woodward Bursary from the Lace Guild towards the cost I was expected to write a report for Lace. By coincidence my daughter, Ruth, had an article in the same issue about the logo she had designed for Glasgow Lace Group.

In addition to articles previously published in Lace or elsewhere this section will also have new articles on topics that interest me and which I hope will interest you too. The first of these is about some freehand lace in the Italian Alps.
