I teach weekly classes at my home in Glasgow on Tuesday evenings, 7–9 pm, and Wednesday mornings, 10 am–12 noon. The classes are for all levels of expertise from complete beginners upwards. I usually have one or two beginners each term, but most people have been coming to the classes for a while — some for over ten years! Something I find particularly rewarding is that a few of my students now enter lace in the handcraft classes at the Royal Highland Show and win prizes. At the moment I have students working Torchon (some of it in colour), Bucks Point, Bedfordshire, Honiton and needlelace.
I also teach one- or two-day and longer classes for lace groups in Britain and the USA, at the Lace Guild Summer School, at IOLI Conventions and for two weeks at Musasdale in Kintyre, Scotland, each summer. Some of these classes are for specific topics such as Bedfordshire Lace, Bucks Point Lace or Color in Torchon Lace, but at others I will teach a variety of laces — it depends on what students would like to do. Please if you would like any further information.
